Setting up utilities in Las Vegas, community by community
Power and gas are the same everywhere in the valley. Water depends on which side of the city line you are on.

The short answer
- NV Energy for power and Southwest Gas for gas, valley-wide.
- Henderson communities get water from the City of Henderson. Most others get it from the Las Vegas Valley Water District.
- Republic Services handles trash across the valley.

Sewer follows the city line too. Inside Las Vegas or Henderson, the city handles it. In unincorporated areas, it is the Clark County Water Reclamation District, billed once a year.
